If you plan to drive into town, take note! After being suspended since April 2020, Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) charges are officially returning to the Orchard Road shopping belt.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is reinstating charges to manage persistent traffic congestion and bring traffic speeds back up to optimal levels.
Effective Date: Starts Monday, 7 September 2026
Active Days: Weekdays (Monday to Friday)
Active Hours: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Revised Rate: Starting From S$1 per entry
The ERP rates will apply to all 11 gantries forming the Orchard Cordon:
1. Buyong Road
2. Cairnhill Road
3. Clemenceau Avenue
4. Fort Canning Tunnel
5. Killiney Road
6. Kramat Road
7. Orchard Link
8. Orchard Road
9. Orchard Turn
10. Oxley Road
11. YMCA
Saturday ERP in Orchard: LTA noted that Saturday traffic speeds in Orchard have also been below optimal levels. They are reviewing traffic data and may consider reinstating Saturday ERP charges for the Orchard Cordon in the next quarter.
CTE Morning Peak Hours: Congestion along the Central Expressway (CTE northbound toward AYE, before Braddell Road) has been extending further into late mornings. LTA may extend ERP operating hours on this stretch if traffic conditions do not improve.
Quick Tip: If you're heading to the city during peak lunch or shopping hours, consider using public transport or planning your route early to save on gantry fees!
